Andrea spent her early years in Vancouver, Canada and Lexington, Kentucky, spending most of her time making sand castles, climbing trees, and riding horses. When she was 11, she moved to the West Coast and spent the next 15 years in sunny Southern California. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Social Behavior. While at UCI, she served as president of The Association of University Meditators, which earned the honor of the Dalai Lama Scholarship. She also enjoyed teaching meditation and stress management classes for students, faculty, and staff. The combined influences of her time at UCI and the health professionals in her family molded Andrea into pursuing integrative medicine, with the goal of building bridges between western & integrative medicine.
Today, Andrea enjoys integrating her intuitive & health backgrounds into Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with an approach that is rooted in compassion and respect. She believes in using a holistic approach and will work with the mind and emotions as much as she works with physical body. She believes it is equally important to educate every person on cultivating self-awareness so they may take an active and mindful role in their healing.
She is extensively trained to work with all forms of imbalance, and takes particular interest in working with mental/emotional conditions, hormonal imbalances & allergies. Andrea also has a special place in her heart for women's health and enjoys helping women feel whole and empowered at all stages of life. From puberty to menopause, she can help women balance issues with premenstrual syndromes, endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, menopause, and more. She also loves helping women become mothers and can help with fertility, pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care both as a stand-alone treatment or in coordination with physicians and reproductive endocrinologists.
