AcuBalance
AcuBalance is ready to SOAR ON

Hello friends and Happy Monday!
Today, Colby and I are ELATED to announce that we will be offering our services at the UofL Health Brown Cancer Center starting in Mid May!
The Brown Cancer Center's Loyd Family Wellness "SOAR On" Program, is a comprehensive, holistic program of wellness services to enhance the mind, body and spirit of cancer patients and caregivers alike.
When facing cancer, stress becomes tenfold..and we know all too well that stress negatively impacts a person's general health. But when the biological and psychosocial burden of stress is lessened, health outcomes improve.
The goal of SOAR On is to do just that - to enhance and assist with the the quality of patients' and caregiver's lives so they can bring some measure of peace and comfort to someone's cancer journey.
SOAR On already offers a number of wonderful therapies, and we are so excited to add acupuncture to this list!
Art therapy
Massage therapy
Music therapy
Counseling
Chaplaincy
Dietitian expertise
Oncology comfort items (wigs, scarves, hats, port pillows, breast prosthetics, etc.)
Social work
Sexual health counseling
Tobacco cessation
.....ACUPUNCTURE!
Acupuncture is a fantastic therapy for cancer patients as it can help offset the side effects of various cancer treatments and support recovery and rehabilitation. It is being implemented in oncology centers all around the world to help treat cancer-related symptoms, treat the side effects of cancer treatments, and improve quality of life.
This is achieved by influencing neural and hormonal pathways to reduce pain & inflammation, increase circulation and nutrient distribution, improve nerve signaling, reduce the stress response, and improve the functioning of the autonomic nervous system.
Some of the major cancer-related conditions we'll be treating include
Pain (physical and emotional) & inflammation
Neuropathy (CIPN)
Nausea and vomiting
Dry mouth
Fatigue & insomnia
Mood imbalances like anxiety, depression, & irritability
Hot flashes
Weakened immunity (neutropenia, leukopenia)
Digestive issues
The best part? Acupuncture treatments at Brown Cancer Center will be FREE for eligible patients!
To learn more about the BCC SOAR On Program, or inquire about your eligibility please drop them a note at 502-562-7092.
And a friendly request - the SOAR On Program is possible because of donations large and small from all around our community. If you are in a position to give, please consider this program as it is providing much needed healing for cancer survivors.

As always, it is our privilege to be your partners in health. Thank you for continuing to support us as we try to support you! See you in the clinic!
Cheers,
Colby & Andrea
